Air Fryer Calzones

You all know how obsessed with my Air Fryer I am now, and I love experimenting with new recipes. These calzones are delicious in both the oven and Air Fryer! The Air Fryer is perfect for so many things, including these simple Air Fryer Chicken Tenders with Air Fryer French Fries. (You’ll never make french fries another way, I promise.) It is also a healthier alternative to frying with oil.

Not only does the air fryer cook food quickly and efficiently, it can bake, roast, grill or fry pretty much anything you can think of.

There are several different brands and sizes available which makes choosing the perfect one for you, that much easier. I have added the top 4 selling Air Fryers on Amazon right now, including the Ninja Air Fryer, which is the one I used for this recipe.

For this calzone recipe you’ll need a batch of pizza dough. Be sure to check out this simple Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe of mine!

Divide the dough into eight even pieces.

Roll out each piece into an oval shape.

Add a layer of cheese, then a layer of sauce and then pepperoni. You can substitute whatever fillings you’d prefer to add.

Fold the dough over the fillings and then crimp the bottom layer of dough over the top layer to form the calzone.

Combine the melted butter and italian seasoning and then brush each calzone with the mixture.

Preheat the Air Fryer at 350 degrees for 5 minutes before adding the calzones. Cook the calzones for 8 minutes at 350 degrees. You can also bake them in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes if you don’t own an Air Fryer.

Serve with your favorite marinara sauce and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 batch Pizza Dough

  • 1 Package Pepperoni
  • 2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 TBSP Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning

Instructions

Air Fryer Avocado Egg Rolls

I’m back with another delicious and healthy Air Fryer recipe. I whipped these Avocado Egg Rolls up yesterday and we enjoyed them by the pool with family. They were a huge hit!

If you’ve never used an air fryer before I highly recommend them! I love how it works! It is perfect for so many things, including these simple Air Fryer Chicken Tenders with Air Fryer French Fries. These Avocado Egg Rolls are so simple to make in the Air fryer and I’ve included recipes for two different dipping sauces. Start out by chopping all of the ingredients and combine them in a bowl.

Mix well, mashing the avocados just a little bit as you go.

Add about two tablespoons of the avocado mixture to the corner of an egg roll wrapper.

Fold corner over the filling and roll the egg roll once.

Fold each side in and continue rolling the egg roll.

Dab the final corner with water so that it seals.

Repeat until all of the egg rolls are filled.

Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 degrees for 5 minutes before adding the egg rolls. Spray each egg roll with olive oil.

Cook at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes turning half way.

While the egg rolls are cooking, prepare the sauces by combining all of the ingredients.

Serve and enjoy!

Air Fryer Avocado Egg Rolls

A healthy and delicious snack made in the Air Fryer.

Ingredients

Avocado Egg Rolls

  • 3 Avocados peeled and diced
  • 8-10 Grape Tomatoes chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Red Onion diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 Cup Cilantro chopped
  • 3 TBSP Lime juice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 12 Egg roll wrappers

Cilantro Lime Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup Cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 2 TBSP Lime Juice
  • 2 Cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Sweet Chili Lime Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup Cold Water
  • 1/4 Cup Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp Siracha
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes
  • 1 TBSP Cornstarch
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

Instructions

To Prepare the Egg Rolls:

  1. Chop all of the ingredients and combine in a bowl. Mix well.

  2. Add about two tablespoons of the avocado mixture to the corner of an egg roll wrapper.

  3. Fold corner over the filling and roll the egg roll once.

  4. Fold each side in and continue rolling the egg roll.

  5. Dab the final corner with water so that it seals.

  6. Repeat until all of the egg rolls are filled.

Air Fryer Beef and Cheese Taquitos

Continuing with my latest obsession- the Air Fryer… last night we made Beef and Cheese Taquitos along with Instant Pot Mexican Quinoa, and let me tell you, I have not seen my sons eat that fast in a very long time! They absolutely loved it!

If you’re new to the Air Fryer, it is the greatest kitchen appliance since the Instant Pot and I absolutely love pairing them up to make dinner! This is the one I use:

These taquitos turned out amazing and they are so simple to make! Feel free to use flour OR corn tortillas, whichever you prefer. We love flour tortillas!

Begin by browning the ground beef and seasoning with taco seasoning.

Fill each tortilla with 1-2 tablespoons of ground beef and top with cheese.

Roll tortilla up and secure with a toothpick. Continue until all of the taquitos are filled.

Preheat the Air fryer to 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes before adding the taquitos.

Cook for 10-12 minutes, turning the taquitos over halfway through.

Serve with a lime crema (sour cream with lime juice) and enjoy!

Air Fryer Chickpeas

I am having so much fun experimenting with my new Air Fryer! If you’ve never heard of it, it is basically the best kitchen appliance since the Instant Pot…. and you all know how much I love my Instant pot! These two appliances make the perfect pair. Anything you can make in the oven, you can make in the Air fryer.

One of our favorite snacks is roasted chickpeas and I love how easy they are to make in the Air fryer! These are absolutely kid approved, my sons love them!! If you’re searching for an addicting yet healthy snack, look no further! Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans are packed with protein and fiber and what I love about this snack is that you can mix up the seasonings to try different flavors. This recipe is for Ranch flavored chickpeas!

Start out by draining and rinsing the chickpeas.

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl until well coated.

Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes before adding the chickpeas.

Cook the chickpeas at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes, tossing/stirring the chickpeas every 5 minutes.

Enjoy!

Try not to eat the whole batch at once….. just kidding, we always do 😉
